News of yet another Indian player coming to trial. Prashant Chowdhury, a Rajasthan boy, learnt his trade at Jaipur FC before moving to spain for further training under Marcet Foundation
MB is attracting a lot of young talent, which is great, I am not sure all of them are ready for ileague yet....I hope 8-10 of the most promising ones are loaned out to smaller clubs, to get more match time before coming coming back to MB.....getting into MB 1st team may be a bridge too far for some of them.
Sanjay Sen prefers to work with young players. As per an interview in ABP today he does not discriminate between a Norde and a Kotal. And he is a follower of Arsene Wenger.
With MB's decision of not playing Norde (and maybe some other foreigner -- the Marqee) in CFL, I am sure MB will blood some young guns. After CFL, what happens is anybody's guess. But MB sure will get some alternatives.
Are we sure this is not also just the board telling him to find a cheaper way to find success? I mean, Mohun Bagan are finding it hard as it is to find a sponsor.
But Sen had been working with young players (that is, not dependent on a superstar) since long. And he often speaks his mind, no matter what. MB Board will not have much influence on him. Remember the spat with the officials at the beginning of this season? And his outburst regarding anomaly in getting coaching licenses?
@Deb_Ban both you and @Arsenal could be right. but its a good philosophy...MFC has tried and succeeded on a lesser scale for many seasons. Any news on the MB sponsorship....are they looking for a long term investor or just this season transfer. The new practice kits look good, they should market it. Are they looking for a kit sponsor?...like Puma and BFC. That should not be a problem if they look hard.
