Guys there is no need to call people hypocrites and to pity other peoples views and call them amateurs and what not.
Everybody has a right to their own opinion and that is why India is such a great country. Btw, its a Sovereign Socialist Secular democratic republic of India. So just chill and learn to absorb differing views. Everybody wants India to do well. Jai Hind.
true... he got upset just like me after off day and on top of it, comments from IFN guys.... His intention is not to hurt other opinions... However sanvedjadhav could have avoided word hypocrite... but other than that.. everything looks fine...
@ guys ... Anyhow has any idea on Pele missing the Olympic torch lighting event .,,, there are multiple conspirancies... Not sure which one is true ... 1. He had a hip injury and walking with help of cane. So couldn't attend 2. When organisers approached Pele, he informed that he need to check with sponsors... Organisers/Sponsors pissed off with his reply whatever it is , he missed one of best chance to light the Olympic torch ... people barely miss these things,,, even after injury,he is able to roam with his third wife... But his health is not supporting for Olympics
@Nagendra ; You have to understand Brazil politics. Pele is a legend but he is very unpopular due to his off-field comments, support of various corporates, politicians. In Brazil, anti-government protests are going on for some time. Pele criticised the protesters and thus he is hugely unpopular at this time. He acts in various ads including Viagra which made him unpopular in conservative section of Catholic Brazilians. Even his Football related comments are taken as a joke in Brazil. Due to his unpopularity due to criticism of protests, Brazil Government took this decision of not selecting him to lit the flame. They cant say this, so an excuse was made of his ill-health. In short, brazil Government didnt wish to give fuel to protesters during this critical time. There was a risk of him even booed by the crowd. We heard whistles when Acting President of Brazil made a very short speech.
London Olympics Opening Ceremony was also not the best but better then Rio. For me 2008 Beijing Olympics, 2000 Sydney, 1992 Barcelona, 1988 seoul, 1984 Los Angeles, 1980 Moscow Olympics were way better. I have seen the recordings of those old ceremonies. There has to be a Wow factor otherwise dont bid for Olympics.

sorry goalkeepar even if I'm harsh
1. He had a hip injury and walking with help of cane. So couldn't attend

as you said , Rio opening ceremony is really disappointing and doesn't come near to top 5 Olympic opening events
but we need to consider Rio budget for opening ceremony,,, London spent almost 10 times more than the Rio Olympics baring alone for opening ceremony,,
and again I don't rate London Olympics ,,, it's opening ceremony is not best ,,, for me Beijing is best and I'm following Olympics since 2000 ...
