Durand Cup is run by Navy so AIFF cannot do their regular discretionary stuff. And Dempo is not playing as far as I know

@namewtheld Durand Cup is run by Army. Air force runs Subroto Cup. I dont think Navy has any role in Durand Cup.

50 lakhs is a loooot of Money maybe not ISL kinda money but still a loooot of money for the winning team! Maybe Army should take over the AIFF! How about we start a petition guys?! :P

50 lakh is a lot for a cup tournament that doesn't even feature majority of the I_league sides. Also considering the year long I-league has just 70 lakhs as winning purse, it is a lot of money

It's a feel good thing when amongst the'Let's Football' commotion in all its loud glitz & glamour, there are prestigious institutions like Indian Army who come up with such initiatives to bring small clubs where hidden talents maybe lurking, to the fore! Because we do have Big clubs like BengaluruFC, Salagaocar, Churchill Brothers, PuneFC who may signup some these guys.

P.S- I am a newbie to Indian football. I am trying to learn as much as I can - Past & Present. So please do excuse if some of my opinions seems shortsighted
