I think we need a master club to succeed further. Like a Indian version of Bayern Haha. All the talent concentrated in one team so that we win continental cups and the national team gets awesome chemistry.

@Naujawan Not a bad idea mate, you know Bayern or Barcelona (Surprisingly for last two world cups most of the players were from these two teams and coach was common) model of concentrated talent is modern version of Military camping which used to happen in 70s or 80s. Argentina squad of 78 is one example but the biggest example was North Korea in 66 (66 it was? they went down to Portugal as far as I can recall). They picked almost all of them from Military and put them together in a camp rather a footballing camp for two or more years to do good in World Cup and they really did well in 1966 still best performance by an Asian team outside the continent.

The modern version is what you suggested. Put all young talent into a single club like Bengaluru, match the formation with national team and you will get success (Considering the level of ours may be domination in SAFF and decent defeats against Asian heavy weights) . Earlier we had similar story with East Bengal players when 10 (Renedy Sing was the only player from other club) EB players were part of NT (2003).

The negative point is a generation gap follows after this.

The negative point is that it would not last forever. Bayern Munich and Barcelona have the money to continue their domination for years... if Bengaluru FC keep their players and that benefits the national team then these players will eventually just move on abroad. At the same time, there is no real financial gap or restrictions that stops other teams from being able to spend to the heights of a big team in India.

Making the national team from the most dominant club will render the league uninteresting . What would the other clubs play for? And as @Arsenalfan700 pointed out, even the top club will be disturbed by frequent calling of their players for the NT matches. Spain team comprises of mostly Barcelona players. Could they retain their hegemony for long?

I would go for the German model, both for club and national team. For clubs (read Bayern Munich) they don't go for star power; and for national team they rely on an extensive youth program.

This, I think is the best bet for any country in the long run.

Spain team in Last world cup consisted of players from 8-9 clubs. barcelona contributed 7 or 8 players out of squad of 23. Last Euro Cup Qualifier which Spain played, players were from 15 diffferent clubs in a squad of 23. It is wrong to say that Spain team comprises of mostly Barcelona players.
