Barton moved to France because he didn't have a first division team in England! Marseilles took a gamble on him and it backfired. There were issues with his teammates in France on multiple occasions and he was fined. The MLS (and the US) is really not a good example as it will be the easiest country and culture for Brits to adjust to, and even then Gerrard is not struggling because of his game alone, he is struggling to settle because he cannot adjust. He had everything catered for him at Liverpool while at LA, that is not he case and he can't handle it.
Chelsea sends their kids for the short term! Also they are kids! That is not a relevant point at all.
Look at it this way - How many Brits have gone abroad and done well (settled and playing) when compared to the number of Frenchmen, Spaniards, Dutch and even South Americans. It is bigger problem for the Latin origin people to adjust to say in England than for an Englishmen to go to Spain and adjust, but they still struggle.
The scarcity of Brits abroad is in part because the clubs abroad have an understanding that they simply don't settle and a such they are not willing to take that gamble. In addition, if an English player moves to say France and struggles, the only option he will consider is to move back to his country where if it was a French player struggling after moving to England, he will consider moving to countries other than France to prolong his career. The club that will want to move that player on then know that they will have more options to sell the flop if he is not English, and thereby save more money. There are better English players in the Championship than in smaller clubs in Spain, Portugal or Netherlands but these smaller clubs won't go for the Englishmen because they know it is a huge gamble!
Sehnaj is physical and he dominated Kamara that half and if he doesn't like it, Kamara needs to stop acting like a little penis. If this was England, Spain or Italy, Kamara would have been send off, Sehnaj wouldn't haven't even got a card, and after the game, an independent committee would have charged Kamara for violent conduct and banned him for a minimum of 3 games.
One thing that gets to me is these foreign players thinking they have the divine right to act that way like Kamara has done with Sehnaj. If the ISL had any credbility, they should ban the little penis for the rest of the season.
Fair play to Sehnaj for not reacting when he was being stranggled.
