"Simão was released by Espanyol on 22 May 2014, alongside Joan Capdevila.[23] In April 2015, having been without a club for ten months, he said that he was finding it difficult to attract a new club at the age of 35, and was considering the possibility of entering management"-waiting for last paycheck day
Don't know why these ISL clubs are buying all"Ready To Retire" Players, instead of the bitter experience from the season 1. Simao is not that great to catch the glory hunters eyes also.
Instead IMG and AIFF can open a Oldage home or some kind of charity NGO for the "Old and Without a Club Players"..Atleast the supporters will not suffer to death!!!
MLS had to deal with this... still does really. Same with A-League, Middle Eastern leagues etc.
Only difference is that I don't think Simao would be a marquee in MLS. Probably would be a marquee in the A-League. Either way, he played 34 games his final season with Espanyol... more in 1 season than Capdevila played in 2 and 2 less than Capdevila did in 3 seasons.
