@soccerlover would rather have everyone report to a camp...break down or suffer overuse injuries Then return to clubs who have to get them fit...only in time to return to another Constantine camp in March.
So clubs need to pay the wages of player's for Constantine and ISL to injury them Players will soon start to game the system...
They will play ISL.... avoid I-League as salary is guaranteed. And use India NT to increase calue in draft /auction
Now u r at ur crappiest best Gaffer! This is what is the so called "norm" throughout in India. Lets not compare our infra/policies with countries where there is a semblance and the game is seen as a profession/revenue churner! A Messi would obviously not be released by Barca to do a 3 week camp when he plays for the NT - and thats taken.
Here football is amateurish and whether we like it or not, we got to accept that when u build a team u have to gel together for a longer period and in India its reqd. Bob used to do longer camps/camps outside India - and it did pay dividend.
2mrw if Ashley becomes the coach of India - he would insist on longer camps - to get the basics/make formations/evaluate fitness and endurance options of every player - and thats the right process as far as Indian football is concerned. And then in the same scenario, BFC doesn't release its players, what would Ashley's reaction be like! ? Sure he would say India have an unprofessional approach/lacks system n process etc etc.
These norms that you speak off are the reason the NT languishes at the rankings they are.
Clubs responsible to get players fit...
Had we started the i-league and not had this ISL drama then players would be fit and selected on merit/ performance not on quota like Passi, Jairu & Pradhan
Just because we are doing things the working way doesn't make it right.
SAFF needs to be scrapped and will be after PP secures their votes
You can continue with your myopic views while some of us plan for a brighter future.
As mentioned before. ..select a U23 teams...and every club would've released players for the Camp
And with all ur supposedly right knowledge of Indian football, am amazed at your "strike rate" on how consistently u can get things wrong about Indian football!
What gaffer meant is you cant play 3 games in 7 days... even the fitter EPL sides with world-class facilities are forced to rotate players during holiday season when they play 3 in a week..... But in ISL every player follow that schedule for 2 months... so it is during ISL they get unfit and need time for recovery .
And then the national camp is sandwiched between league with top players of country asked to report to the camp without recover... thats insane and players risking themselves long term injury..
deepak my friend.. SC giving chance to a load of players is otherwise called the scatter gun approach. put enough of them in the pitch and hope one or two clicks. The NT isnt a breeding ground for players. its the domestic competitions.
