Okay, someone tell me what would come of local broadcasts of crappy I-League 2nd Division games? Be real here. Local sponsors, yes, but not significant at all.

You first tell us why it wouldn't be a good thing? Even small sponsorship money matters to small clubs.

Agree, but it would not make a significant difference, at least with the 2nd Division the way it is currently.

A couple of lakhs matter to a small club from NE, may be not to Mohammedan Sporting or Dempo! Even if DD Sports broadcast the final round, these teams can actually sell them selves to regional sponsors. And in due time, we may get a couple of clubs who manage to grow organically.

    Production costs are too hig...

But why not let teams record and stream it via YouTube or club websites

That I can get behind... youtube streams would not cost much. Quality won't be that good but even with a telecast it was never going to be good.

Do they even care to upload videos in youtube? unless rules of uploading match videos online is confusing from AIFF

AIFF don't allow broadcast of games unless prior consent  , something to do with broadcast rights owned by IMG-R

And consent will not be given because it is not giving any Profit to IMG-R.
