I mean not to popularize the game but to start a club in a town which already the people are football crazy :) . Its a long due.

If the only criteria is getting local talent and build a low cost team then even PIFA and Kenkre are doing an excellent job. 5 people in their stands watching matches are testimony to the fact this is just a vanity exercise by owners Fans are excited by their teams winning and competing hard. 500 people have watched (on average) fatehs home games. Ownner is the coach of the team, this is a recipe for disaster. Lonestar and Neroca have fairly inexpensive squad but are getting full houses as their teams are winning and I excites the local people. If and when we have teams from Bhubaneswar /Jamshedpur/nagpur etc in ileague 2 they will excite crowds only if teams are competitive. Fateh is simply squandering a golden opportunity

I feel we are too quick to flush away Fateh out of the system. It is new. It will need time to develop. They need to balance both on-field and off-field performances to gather interest in Hyderabad. But that will require time. Yes, it is a too big a step from them currently (playing in 2nd division). In my opinion they should have tried Ozone way (not a good example) by start playing in regional leagues. But lack of good regional leagues forces their hand and compelled them to 2nd division. Looking at gulf in the performance, it is evident that they need to invest badly. But I am fine with the fact even if they continue loose for first 3 seasons. But after that need to win matches, as their youth team should have matured to a proper senior team that can beat teams at home. Once they start winning matches, everything will fall in place. But we need patience till then.

Sure we should give time to a newly formed club, particularly to one which do not want to flash the cash and wish to organize themselves from grassroots level.

But organisation is not cash only; even without money, you can put up a good show and intent.

Investing is not only terms of high priced players. They need to invest in other aspects such as scouting. I feel for any good system to work. It is very important to setup a very good scouting system. Currently, they dont have any. Apart from building youth setup, they also need to upgrade the scouting system. There are many good players who can be hired by them for 2nd season very cheaply.

Fateh is building U-16 and U-18 teams. Also the first team is completely made up of young players from India U-19, TFA, Chandigarh FA, not a single foreigner.

Let me tell you guys, there is no city or state league over here. 2nd Division is only competition so the cheap players whom your talking about will have no intention to join.

I dont want Fateh to spend 5-6 crores and become 1 season wonders like Chirag United, Bharat FC etc. Better play invitational tourney get some experience for 1-2 seasons, invest in coaching staff and better players and then aim to qualify for I-League.

For Fateh Hyderabad, they had what BFC too possess which is local footballing history to work with, top class city which means the schools could be having sports in their curriculum, also being a top city means there should be some interest in European football at least....
But now they need to market the history well and put the idea into the minds of current players or kids and their parents that their kid could bring back the glory day of Hyderabad thereby gaining huge popularity... another thing is link with top local schools in football thereby setting a feeder system for the club... also have a local scouting system if possible for other school team players and the local league(if any)..
This setup can provide them at least 3-4 local players who are worthy to make into the squad in 5-6 years time and if they get lucky in any one of them who could get into main team that shall be even better..

I say give them 5-6 years and they should show something in their squad with local essense..

I have seen it in MFC where there are quite a few local players coming from youth teams like jayesh, ashutosh, Cletus, etc

This is not a problem with Fateh. Great to see a club come from Hyderabad and great to see where there intentions lie. The problem is with the football system. Yes, they ideally should not be in the 2nd Division as the main goal for them is not exactly to be in the I-League, their goal is to first develop the team and players.

This would have better been served had there been a proper state league and tournaments but they don't have that. Blame the AIFF and the state associations for the ongoing rubbish organization of the football system in India.

@ for all guys.. who criticizing and making fun of Fateh Hyderabad..

    1. There is no state league...and leave abut State league.. there are proper clubs in Hyderabad for players to look on to.. at school level, competition is good and there are school level tournaments as well.. but when it comes to college, people hardly football...

    2.  Decline of football in A.P and India started at the same.. Seems to be it is coincidence..

    3.  In Goa, Kolkata & Mumbai, people can establish/start clubs with U-14, U-16 & U-18... but in A.P/Hyderabad, it will not work.. after U-18, what will be the future for those kids.. local clubs without proper competition??
definitely, senior team needed for motivation and the academy players can be stream lined...

    4.  please don't call it is a back door entry... here we are taking about I-league 2nd division... and we can appreciate AIFF, they want pan India league... which ultimately will take Indian football to different level...
    kids will show interest...

    5.  I came from a place, East Godavari District, A.P, where football doesn't exist.. people doesn't know , play or watch football... In future, if there is any representation from Hyderabad/A.P in I-League/ISL.. definitely, people will show some interest in football, fan base will also increase...

    6. Regarding results in I-league 2nd division, we need to understand that this is just their first season. Even their budget is minimum.. there are no ambani's/Jindal..

    7. Also what's wrong if club owner is interested in acquiring coaching license....

    8. Atleast some one came to save football in Hyderabad. So far they have done well in all aspects excluding results. I'm very happy to see a club from Hyderabad..Definitely Hyderabad folks are sports lovers..Let's support them...
