Classic political answer. Till now media was little biased towards Goan clubs due to their contribution, intents etc. But before meeting with those club owners AIFF came out with new scheme, so now picture is like , 'those clubs should have discussed with us before taking extreme step '. So even if Das meets the club owners, this time AIFF will be on top
How has no one mentioned that when these teams were announced they were given 10 year licenses? Once the 2017-18 season starts they will have 6 years left, they currently have 7. That is probably where the 6-7 year thing came from.
As for the pro/rel in 6-7 years..... I can live with that.
lol maddie what vishal has spoken till now is correct is this same praful spoke i-league will be primary league? then what is the situation now isl will be primary league? then vishal also said about present u-17 team ? do you tthink all the footballers are correct age i can say 4 to 5 players are overage & i can prove one of the player is over age?
I had no idea where else to put this but this "theory" just came into my head regarding East Bengal and Mohun Bagan entering the ISL:
What if East Bengal and Mohun Bagan don't directly enter the ISL themselves but instead Mohun Bagan itself becomes the new co-owner of Atletico de Kolkata while East Bengal and Red Chillies Entertainment (SRK) bid together for the second Kolkata franchise?
So Atletico de Kolkata would rebrand a little to incorporate Mohun Bagan while the second Kolkata franchise will be named whatever it but incorporate East Bengal.
(This means that Mohun Bagan and East Bengal still remain what they are but instead of being in ISL they are just co-owners of a franchise)
Note: I personally don't want this but believe that knowing IMG-Reliance so far, this is not hard to believe they would do this.
The brand value of ATK is probably north of Rs 100 crores now. I doubt, if Tutu and Anjan wants to be coowners, they will get majority stake in ATK....highly unlikely. Plus , ATK is a medium utilised by Sanjeev Goenka for expanding/marketting his CESC and his Spencers (mart) business in Kolkata. Dont see Neotia and Parakh letting go of shares from ATK anytime soon. Only possibility is of ATM moving out and MB buying 25% of those shares

Kolkata being MB/EB turf ATM might find it difficult to cut across the typical Bong style politics.
Delhi/Kerala are ripe though for a stable ownership and a ATM tieup would be great.
Esp Delhi being a cosmopolitian city can be a ripe ground for ATM marketing.
