Only in AFC Tournaments,Clubs will have to use 4 foreigners[1 Asian].In domestic season, they can use as many foreigners as needed.6 is good...because more the foreigners, more quality exposure during playtime.
'cause Aussies are way more developed in football than us and don't need a quota system. EPL plays 11 foreigners, we should do that too then? IMO, 4 foreigners on the pitch with a total of 6 allowed to sign per club should be fine. Also no foreign goalkeepers should be allowed.
I quite agree with @TeamChennain
Football will devolop when Clubs make money
But we need a better management Planners etc
ISL is 2 nd half month league nd football doesn't work in such a way + its purely scheduled after a point it gets boaring nd quality of football goes down
@EastBengalPride is not a i-league rules ? 4 foreigners on pitch and 6 signings ,no foreign goal keeper . bringing this rules what will happen ,some more indian players get into playing 11, and few more indians get signed .But after few years it will become another i-league . Only traditional football playing states only have club and players ,Rest play cricket . You need to develop football in india , so indian players will automatically develop , under 15 years players can only save indian football so stop crying about quota system , 5 indian players on pitch is more than enough and in future they should remove this quota system just like europe .
"We had fruitful discussions on the status of league football in India. The AIFF's plans for the proposed league structure were again discussed but the AFC is extremely clear on this matter. Any decisions on the structure of the game in India are for the AIFF Executive Committee — not the AFC"
"The AFC are happy to give support and advice but the important decisions on the format of the proposed new league are purely the domain of the AIFF."
So, where are our insiders who need to tell us how this is bullshit and that the AFC will force the AIFF to take on a certain style.
