It was because of Bengaluru FC that Bengaluru Titans  was scraped and Chennaiyin FC came in.
BFC were always in for ISL.

Only 1 team is what island says. NE being at the zenith of Indian football hardly represented in the so called league 1 of India. Yes rise of Indian footballing killing enthusiasm where it was already created in the last 2 decades of Indian football. Goa lost, NE looses and now Bengal would loose too. And all younsgstars are going to relish opportunities being present gallore in these states

Thing is I was never against ISL but with what is happening now, AIFF has lost all say in matters of Indian football. Basically it had been sold and because of that they do not have the guts to say anything or plan anything. It's a certain aunty who is mother of Indian football now.

Even if BFC opts for ISL, still I don't think with Mohun Bagan, EB, Aizawl, a few more from NE (which is fast becoming the supply line of footballers to the nation), also a few Goan teams, Chennai, Minerva & of course ever presence of Pune outfits...we will be short of quality football & excitement.
The matter of concern is with AIFF under the influence or rather order of Aunty is foolishly doing everything which will ensure a suspension & then we will be short of International games, our players will suffer. Nothing will happen to Aunty & her watch dogs who will simply run away.

Also please remember NFL or I-League didn't die when JCT, Mahindra, Pune FC, Dempo, Salgaocar all fled. But the question is whether AIFF wants I-League to prosper ? Internally they may want but after selling their hreart-soul-pride everything to Aunty...they are helpless & it is their fault or so to say greed which created this Frankenstein who will now ensure the death of AIFF

Regarding the bid for new teams in ISL, kerala fans have divided opinion. Most of the people don't want second team from kerala. They say it will cause division in the state. It will lead to fan fight and violence. Attendance will reduce for blasters.
Few support second team from trivandrum. They say it will create more opportunities for kerala players, a derby match will be exciting, it will break the monopoly of KBFC management who are exploiting fans. Overall football development of the state will be achieved.

As long as I-League has an AFC Cup slot i'm ok with the plan of both leagues running parallely. It would mean more opportunities for young Indian players. But the I-League teams should make sure that proper broadcasting and scheduling is done and in cities where both I-League & ISL clubs are there, both teams should play at the same stadium.

Here what i find funny is the hypocrisy if MB & EB.. When there was talk of them joining ISL, they had no support for Aizawl or Shillong. But now when both leagues are going to be run parallely they are opposing it because the top players will all move to ISL. Both Aizawl & Shillong will not be bothered by this as they bring up their own players. Even if few of them leave they will bring in another batch of players. But MB & EB will be in trouble. They have nothing to fall back on.And with no big names,No local talent, the officials will feel the heat from fans. Also i'm very amused when all of a sudden Bagan officials are talking about ACL spot, when Sanjoy Sen believes AFC cup is just for the sake of participation
