Another thing is, you cannot ignore European football. It is simply the best. Youngsters need to watch it for learning purposes. ISL initially created impact due to retired players whom they use to watch. You can even notice that many new members joined IFN because of ISL, then they knew more knowledge about I league and NT
Few Weeks ago IMG offered TATA that they become partner in East Bengal or Mohun Bagan , TATA's says no as they want to have own franchise so that they build around Tata Football Academy.
Tata story is a non-starter. Will not go anywhere beyond proposal level. Since the demise of JRD and Naval, their Senior management (Coterie of Tata Administrative Service Officials surrounding Ratan Tata) is not interested in Sports barring few CSR commitments started long time ago. The Journalists on their payroll of major major media houses have a habit of putting tata name in every event to get Free Publicity. Their academy is suffering in recent years from lack of funding, yet they will invest in EB, build airport and floodlights in Jamshedpur???
Heineken backing EB and a disinterested came back from retirement Ratan Tata with zilch infrastructure to host matches in Jamshedpur? Tough choices for Madame
Just waiting for Baba Ramdev to enter the arena. He can field a franchise & build requisite infra structure in reasonable time but somebody has to put it in his mind. He can name his team as "Baba Power"
If I league and ISL is played simultaneously, players need to make a choice. This will be a dillema. Will create a civil war situation. Whose side are you on.

Where I have an issue is the average ignorance of a plastic EPL fan about Indian football or the very least not show disrespect towards it.
Indian football knowledge should be the basic before following world football religiously.

EB set to join ISL.
