I think everyone wants Bengaluru FC to represent Bangalore in ISL (if it happens). They are more professional than any Indian Super League club.
Also, would love a merger between DSK Shivajians and FC Pune City. I am not sure about the insider specifics but from afar, they look pretty professional and have given debuts to a number of players, many young. Good training facility and connections at youth level (like Liverpool). DSK also have better colours.
Unless and until we see any official statement fro IMG-Reliance that they wish to merge into a combined league which will have non ISL clubs also, we can only speculate that what will happen. Even PP said that the onus is on IMG-R to merge. They may or may not agree.
Very true. IMG-R is an important player here, in fact the most important player. And till now they have not said anything as far as merger is concerned. Whatever have been discussed, were only the football enthusiasts' and AIFF's (okay, they are not football enthusiasts ) viewpoint. IMR-R's silence only means that they are not in the same boat.
One of the FIFA criteria is no private ownership of the league, which goes against IMG-R. I don't think they would let go a potential cash cow off their hands; they will strive to retain the ownership, by hook or by crook.
One day or other IMG-R have to go ahead with merger. But the bigger question is when? Till then we can only speculate.
The other thing that could happen is dissolve I-league altogether and make ISL official. Only thorns are MB and EB. BFC most likely will be a new franchise from Bangalore in that case.
1)FIFA will never recognise a league which is run by a private businessman who not only runs the league but also own the clubs thru relatives and cricketers/actors acting as owners. FIFA are not fools when you show them Abhishek Bachchan as owner and no physical address of any club? Only Social media and hype?
2)Elected Body AIFF is supposed to run the league where clubs are not owned by one person only.
3)From IMG-R point of view, what is their benefit in getting recognised by FIFA or merge it with AIFF league? Nothing. so why will they merge?
4) Only FIFA can stop two league nonsense. In India when a person default on Bank Loan, Bank seize the property, guarantee of the defaulter. The defaulter keeps on extending the time by claiming that he/she is trying to pay back the loan, trying to arrange the funds, selling other property in order to buy time. This is what happened in case of Vijay Mallya or Sahara Group. Same thing is here also in case of ISL. Some nautanki of Academy thru carefully planted news in paid media that we are trying to merge and building academy are futile efforts by ISL to buy time time for few more seasons before FIFA close them down.
You keep saying this munna but look deeper and you will see that most likely, none of this will happen. IMG-Reliance don't technically run the ISL... its Football Sports Development Ltd. and it is a subsidiary of IMG-Reliance with STAR Sports part of it. The AIFF don't need to run the league, they need to sanction it, which are both different things. MLS is not ran by the USSF, the US Soccer board has people on the board of MLS but that is it.
The addresses can be dealt with by either putting down the address of IMG-Reliance or whatever company that own the teams.

seems to be u drunk a lot and typing man
Please don't compare BFC with Bharat FC... they will not end like Bharat FC...
What I mean is even if something happened like stupidity due to merger... BFC has done a lot of good for the last 2 seasons... still doing good....
Even after merger, I want BFC to represent Bangalore instead of Ozone....
