If South Asian Games is held there at Nehru Stadium, then the venue comes under Organising Committee which is Government and then there is lot of staff to clean, paint the venue as well as decorate it. For normal club game, club will not have adequate staff to clean/decorate the venue and the owners of the stadium (local Municipal Body or State Govt.) will also not bother as it is not high on their priority list.
I support the merged league as long as they satisfy AFC Criteria. But there are some unanswered questions as I mentioned in my earlier comment. It should not be a closed league. There should be incentive for other clubs to join it / Promotion or Relegation.
Well the incentive to win it I assume would be qualification into Asia, and depending on how results go for the first few years, we may be able to get more than 1 spot in Asia which could create more incentive. Looking at East Asia currently, we could definitely take Vietnam's one spot in Group Stage.
As for the other league, I am still a fan of implementing what they have in Australia with the National Premier Leagues, but instead of basing it on state leagues, divide the I-League into conferences (North, South, North-East), each conference would have at least 6-8 teams (at least 18-24 teams within the league, at least 10-28 games), with the top 2 from each conference qualifying for the final round. We could either then make the final round a knock-out type thing and get it over within 2-5 games to save on travel or you could make it round-robin and have the final teams play an extra 10 games. Meanwhile, for qualifying for the final round, each team qualifies for the domestic cup automatically while the clubs that don't make it have to go into the qualifiers.
You can then have an I-League 2nd Division with the same thing with conferences and thus the lower teams in the I-League have to deal with the threat of relegation and the 2nd Division sides can get promoted etc. and slowly you can increase the number of teams in each league etc.
And then you have the state leagues etc. etc. etc.
Of course I don't think this is what should happen ideally, but I am just spitballing here. You can then create incentives with money etc. and with the current crisis with players I guess actually having a job would also be a decent incentive. So ya. There we go.
@ArsenalFan700 I was talking about incentive for clubs playing in Garib League-the so called Second Division where likes of SCG, Mumbai FC, Shillong Lajong, Aizawl FC and all will play. They are not allowed to qualify for ISL and they are not allowed to represent in Asia either.
I know, and I suggested the incentive could be automatic qualification into the domestic cup while the last place teams could face relegation. Then you have other things like financial etc.

@munna219777 Interesting.
