okay but what jurisdiction AIFF or FIFA got over FC Goa to give any punishment? Nothing!!! Its a private league run by Reliance. AIFF cannot even ask Fine. IMG-R who are the owner of the league has not expressed any regret or asked for any fine. Chennai team has not asked any fine.
@atuljg You really think that all those Kerala Blasters players can go and complain to FIFA for delay in their salaries last year? Can FIFA ban FC Goa?
Also IMG-R are the organizers of the tournament, AiFF technically is the owner. Nothing stops AIFF to stop ISL and fight out a looking drawn court case with IMGR.
Let me know when FIFA act or fine against these fake teams which do not follow any AFC Guidelines and are not recognised. Or even IMG-R put fine or punishment to any of their franchise. It will be like IMG-R writing cheque with payment to "SELF" A/C as fine. The whole saga reminds me of the film "Karthik Calling Karthik".
Bagan was banned from I-League, before it was actually revoked - and replaced by a hefty fine of 2 cr.
Now ISL being a cash rich tournament, lemme see if AIFF have the balls to come down heavily on Salgaocar and FC Goa - specifically Salgaocar who has tarnished the image of the already dilapidated Indian football. Thats how they manage referees in I-League and tried to replicate the same model - but didn't realise they werent the Santoshs' or Choubeys'
