From Sunday, Sports federations must be NGOs for government funds. Federations fear the aid they receive from international bodies will be under scrutiny .so more trouble for aiff

Any interference by Government into any Sports Federation will result in Ban of the Association and country for participating in any competition. AIFF will be banned like Kuwait.

Government will not be interfering. They will be doing auditing. No need to worry if money is clean.
And AIFF is doing something illegal, they should be banned, right?

Will Government audit ISL? The answer is no-never. We have FIFA to audit AIFF. Government has no right to either audit or ban AIFF. Ban comes from FIFA if Government is doing audit of AIFF.

That's why is this initiative to register these sports body as NGO came up. So that government can audit them.
