How many people AIFF want? There are 125 people already on various Committees. How much money is spent on meetings, Business Class Air Tickets of all these members? At the end of the day, we have to beg in front of DD sports for telecast of National Team match, Coach hardly watches I-League, team selection is faulty, Venues of Asian Cup Qualifiers are not decided yet.
Bhutia says that there should be relegation and promotion between the ISL and League 1. Is that the reason he was removed from the AIFF committee by the all powerful reliance group?
So this is the latest from the world of Indian football straight from the birdies present in various offices around India
Starting with the merger, it looks like talks have broken down yet again between the Bengal clubs and the ISL management. It looks like the merger will have to be put on hold for another year but with the World Cup round the corner it looks like there will be a scheduling headache for the AIFF and IMG Reliance.
According to reliable sources, a former FIFA employee has given a very bad report about the ISL to FIFA and this may delay the merger further with FIFA now not taking things too kindly
Our birdie from Pune tells us that Pradhyum Reddy has reunited with his pal Prashant Agarwal at Pune City. Looks like @gaffertape would be giving us all the breaking stories from the Pune camp now.
And lastly, the big story about plots and conspiracies from Goa that has massive political connotations. According to very reliable sources, on the day of the election results in Goa, at 1700 hours, it is alleged (can't confirm) that a high profile director from the Deltin Group by the initials of Mr. P@#$ carried a bagful of cash (rumours say about 50 CR) to the house of Vijay Sardessai who was the party president of Goan Forward, a new political party.
Deltin group carried this cash on behalf of their old pal and buddy Manohar Parrikar to persuade Vijay to join BJP. In fact this guy Vijay has a long standing relationship with Reliance. Apparently all the Jio tower permissions in Goa were handled for Reliance by Vijay Sardessai. Also the Personal Assistant of Vijay, one Alison Moreno, stood approver for Elano, along with former Dempo SC defender Creson Antao, on that fateful night when Elano was arrested. This proves the long standing connection between reliance and Vijay Sardessai.
So by enticing Vijay and helping the BJP come to power, Deltin group has made sure that casinos would not close in Goa for the next five years which would give them enough money to run FC Goa.
As a favour, FC Goa have hired the services of two of Vijay's close aides. Rahul Rodrigues has been hired as Chief Operating Officer and Rahul Desai as Marketing Officer. Both are very close aides of Vijay Sardessai and closely linked to Goan Forward party. Rahul Rodrigues has been a disaster wherever he has worked be it Procam or Salgaocar and it looks like he has mismanaged FC Goa as well with several vendors now complaining of defaulting payments since December. Looks like politics is pulling the strings at FC Goa.
I agree with @ArsenalFan700 !
Things regarding ISL sound too far-fetched.
If the merger doesn't happen this season, no ISL will be possible, due to world cup.
