That tilpatti looks inviting. I had spent a few weeks in Ajmer, Kishangarh and Beawar during the nineties in relation to a field study, but I regret not to taste it once.
I got hilsa intermittently during August and September, but mostly khoka ilish. Didn't get any good import from Bangladesh though. All Kolaghat hilsas.
Gajak is a well-known dessert or confection originating in north India. It is a dry sweet made of sesame seeds(til) or peanuts and jaggery The til is cooked in the raw sugar syrup and set in thin layers, which can be stored for months.

Have been gutted by the way the market for hilsa turned out this year. Could not a single decent fish in the entire season this time around.

Another cost 1200, could be labelled as "edible".
In Bengal, we call Chikki gur badam...absolutely dote on it.
