The Uttarakhand Super League starts today. Baichung Bhutia, the brand ambassador for the league, being at the opening ceremony.

First match is not until tomorrow though, when Haridwar Ganges take on Rudraprayag Monals. Pauri Platoons will take on Uttarkashi Glaciers afterwards.

Should be an interesting league.

Not that I know of. They have only said DD Sports will carry the "Super 8" but seriously doubt we get anything other than pictures from first round matches.

It is real but so far seems to be pretty much the same thing as the "Malabar Premier League" from last year.

Either way, if IFN can get some coverage on it, it won't be the end of the world.

The first match between Haridwar Ganges and Rudraprayag Monals ended in a goalless draw. There is not much information about it on internet. The website of USL is also not very informative

The opening match of Uttarakhand Super League Football Tournament was played between Rudraprayag Monals and Haridwar Ganges at Maharana Pratap Sports College here today.

In an exciting encounter, both the teams showed their skillful game. However, the match settled in a goalless draw and both the teams shared equal points.
