CFL is nothing but almost a parental prop of Ganguly. The primary sponsors are Officers Choice and Shellys - both brands owned by him/has majority stakes in it. Hence he has been running CFL as per his whims - till this time when Bagan took off his pants - both in terms of profit sharing for Exhibition matches and also the ref fiasco that he creates every year.
In a way at times the feeling is - that the development that leads to the fiasco every year is all a gimmick and artificially created by him by which his brands get mileage outta it.
When Palmiros players were chased by EB players with corner flags (remember EB were trailing 0-1 at that time)...in the IFA Shield Final, they ran for their safety to the dressing room & refused to play....... all happened in front of the Police....who just watched the scene, everything was fine. What IFA did then ? They awarded the match & the Shield to to EB.
@namewtheld ; to modify your learned post... everything looks so long one particular club wins CFL matches by any means which includes felicitation of Referees just before the start of the League... right under the nose of IFA. Those Referees need to payback otherwise the felicitation & the award may be taken back by the Club. So it will always happen in CFL till this sort of open bribing of the Referees is not stopped & IFA will not stop because they would lose their share if they do it. Anyway this is an end less topic......everybody knows what is happening......but when somebody protests......then those who are exposed start behaving like "Dharmavatars". Please guys try to understand there are other ways to protest rather than invading pitch, throwing bricks, blackmailing ifa. If they are confident they should go to aiff, AFC or even fifa to get justice. And I fail to understand why EB is being accused here. We play fair games that's why we are being targeted. Debashish dutta is talking rubbish.
