This is pathetic. But as some people are reporting this is not a general bogie. It is a non AC janshatabdi bogie as I understand. Nevertheless utterly callous attitude from club. Narayan is seating on his bags near the gates. He is a national player on club duty. I mean how can you allow that to happen. Does not he deserve even a reserved seat?
Can you even imagine for sports like football in any other country national players are travelling and fellow passengers don't give a damn about it? And we guys here want India to play WC and what not. I mean friends, let's accept by and large people of India don't give a damn about football. It is not a popular sport. (sigh)
Okay, so this is the actual case. Eastbengal Management having failed to acquire flight tickets for the team and asked them for a 421 km trip back to Kolkata via a bus today. Those who were in a hurry, left in public transport.
The fault must lie with the travel planner. How any player of India's one of the Biggest Clubs can be made to travel like this ? Office commitment, some body in hurry all are rubbish but it is shameful that players of EB travelled like this. Those who are responsible (I think some club official must have been given this responsibility) must be taken to task.
