ISL needs to plan more convincingly host games only during weekend
Try to globalise the game instead of bollywodzing or IPLizing it
They must increase the window and must not be afraid of clash with IPL in April but higly unlikely with Star now having IPL rights ISL will end by March in upcoming years
Current format is flawed teams which top league stages go home empty handed
@mohammed_87hassan what you are saying is good for discussion but wont come in reality agree we need to scrap off those play offs and schedule games properly to avoid scenes like yesterday
but IPL type model will be followed in coming years. if you are saying quality football is answer then I league or NFL should have broke all records by now
WE Indians are responsible for that , STAR is simply working as per mindset of Indian people.. trust me IF matches are only played on weekend it will hamper viewership and reach (though it is ideal model) Europeans watch football games of their team irrespective of other games in weekend , last 5 teams on table get full house even if there are 5 matches on same day , you really think it will be successful here?
not going far behind just simply compare viewership records (both TV and screenings) of FC GOA vs Pune and EL classico game which happened on same day and time
90% fans are plastic nothing to blame them, even most of rest 10% have never watched local district football or other championships and you expect them to flock stadiums and follow football all over weekend? also you are saying dont fear for clash with IPL? Star is smart not dumb
"Official " term should not be used for ISL. Nothing official about it. In any Official or recognised leagie which follow AFC / FIFA regulations, such bizarre twisting of rules would not have happened. Not possible in I-League. Rules from AIFF website for any official league

It would have been kinda impossible to reschedule this match as FC Goa have 11 more games to play in 8 weeks time
