Yes it does...bus and auto services stop after 10 PM in Assam...and no one will go regularly here if the team doesn't perform well...fan favourite Nico Velez wasn't retained... Added to frustration of people...

@ashindia ;who doesn't want More teams here?
But what about the infrastructure and who will come to invest? It will happen for sure in a decade but not now!

T20 match between India and Sri lanka had a good turn out and that match finished at 11 pm.
Believe it or not, Northeast United should not have existed in the first place. The name only makes sense if they play some of their games in other NE cities like Imphal/Shillong/Aizawl.
And I also want to make one observation. In smaller cities like Guwahati, Imphal, Shillong, Jamshedpur etc, if I-League/ISL matches are held, initially the crowd response is good because these cities are not regular in hosting top level sporting conpetitions and when such matches are organised, crowds throng the stadium. Once it becomes regular, the novelty factor wears off and people start to give it a miss and rather watch it on TV.
We saw this with Shillong Lajong and Aizawl. Both the clubs had bumber crowds in the stadium when they started playing in I-League but as years passed, the crowd dwindled. This year, SLFC didnt have a single match where the crowd was more than 8000. Even Aizawl FC, who were champions last year, are struggling to fill their stadium.
We are now seeing the same with NEROCA and Jamshedpur FC. Though they have great crowd this year, the numbers can go down in coming years, if they fail to win any silverware or cannot sustain fans interest in them.

And one should pay attention to previous comments... I already said how Assam should be kept separate in terms of football from rest NE

Oct 10, 2017. India v Australia T20 match at Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Stadium. It was the first international cricket match played at the new 50000 seater stadium. India lost the match.

I spoke to guys from Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya and Nagaland. Each and every person prefers to have their own team rather than North East United. And people from Arunachal Pradesh they are not even aware of the team, they are more worried about neglect from Govt to provide basic necessities to live a normal life.
