Funniest part is that Street Food Festival being conducted in the same stadium complex attracted more than 5K fans. In the 60th minute of the game, the crowd was silent. The only audible sounds were of the players and coaches shouting and the DJ playing music at the food festival with crowd going bonkers. :P
@coolgagan If you see one 3 sides of the stadium were closed, 1 stand which is opened for the public was full, lower tiew east and west are VIP stands which Delhi Unable to Sell or bring a crowd.
Delhi wallahs have rejected the Franchise Masala leagues or what !!! Hockey India League barely sold few hundred tickets at National Stadium. Even for Cricket IPL, more then 40% are free passes at Feroz Shah Kotla stadium. Next time you think that Delhi are only Cricket crazy, think again. People with Free Passes are the ones who reach stadium late. This is the reason whenever any game start in Delhi, you see stands filling by half time only. One more joke is that the franchise has to pay Tax over Free Pass which further hits the sales figure.
Marko Stankovic provides for the most surprising transfer of an Austrian this winter.
The 31-year-old leaves SV Ried and will play in India for FC Pune City. In the table third of the Indian Super League, the offensive player signs a contract until May 2019.
"Today, I still fly via Dubai to Mumbai," reports the Styrian to LAOLA1. "The interest has been around for some time, that's why I've dealt with it, but the offer came very suddenly."
