I think we should 'only' appreciate his goal rather than mocking about the 'Emerging Player of the Match' thing. At least for today. Age should not matter if a player is performing well.
Jamshedpur FC striker Jerry Mawihmingthanga became the scorer of the fastest goal in the history of Indian Super League (ISL) when he found the net just 22 seconds after kick-off against Kerala Blasters in Jamshedpur on Wednesday.
The Mizo striker bettered the record of former Kerala Blasters' striker Chris Dagnall who scored in the 29th second against NorthEast United FC in the second edition of ISL.
Mohammed Rafi's 48th-second goal with Blasters against FC Pune City now stands third on the lost of fastest goals in the competition.
Went to see my first ever senior football match at Jamshedpur and it was wonderful to witness Jerry's goal in the first minute itself. He was clearly the best player of Jamshedpur today without any doubt. Great to witness our first home win. Also, it was nice to see almost packed stadium. Today's official attendance was 21,640 if I remember correctly.
Also, peaple from all groups went to match and there were families and girls too.
The last pic is after the second goal by when the stadium was almost full. There were very few people in the North West Upper stand as tickets for it was available only on Kyazoonga.
