as much as i hated DSK management , I loved watching some of their players Juan Quero was my favorite, good to see him doing well in Segunda div and gonna play against real madrid
If you dont have football crazy crowd then you approach whatever available public, u try and create hype about matches or players, arrange fan meets , try and raise awareness about club and most importantly IF certain section of fans approach you atleast listen what they want to say.. In 2015 we as a Orange Army group had approached DSK to form official ultras group, they never replied this would have have given them atleast 250 active people that time.. but no They ignored us and paid the price
DSK tried gathering support in last season after realizing there was no crowd but what they did was to write letters to European fan groups to come forward for pune , arranged tournaments for them and gave free tickets..
Pune FC Management would have done got immense help if Facebook was popular in their initial days..
write letters to all Pune based clubs what type of fan engagement drive they arrange or have arranged in their existence in last 3-4 years and you might know what sets apart FC Pune city from others
I wont claim we have football following crowd as we dont have TBH but building loyal fan-base of hundreds of people is not impossible
That's tough work for any club to bring a few thousands in.
The fact a club has to reach out to "European" fan clubs for support shows there isn't any culture in the region.
The fact they have to do massive engagements just to fill 75- 80% of a 13k stadium says a lot about the location and type of fans there are in the city mate.
It will be great of FC Pune city can bring in a consistent 9k- 10k Atleast each match.
