what is the point of these 20 year old kids getting slaughtered 4-0/5-0 in every match. Atleast they should get some talented 20 year old foreigners to add depth to the side, otherwise this seems just a plight to dilute the official top flight.
what is the point of having ileague 2 infront of empty stadia played by #IMG circus reserves, when many of the 1st teams cant get 5k paid tickets to ground?? wouldnt it be better to find smaller local clubs like NEROCA and aim for full houses in cuttack/indore/kolhapur/bokaro/gangtok etc???? what is this fetish with the circus??
Having smaller towns involved in ileague 2 seems so much more sensible to grow the football base.
@deepakc Airplane/Flight connectivity is one issue while deciding venues. Having said that, I am still not convinced about selection of jamshedpur for ISL as there is no functioning Airport in that city. Bus from Ranchi or what?
So how many clubs this year for I-League? Adding AIFF Developmental side, it should become 10. Any confirmation of Name? Arrows or something else? Venue?
Any news on the venues of the teams? Still no confirmation on where Chennai City, Minerva, Mohun Bagan, East Bengal, Churchill Brothers will play their home matches.
Aizawl FC at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Aizawl Churchill Brothers at Tilak Maidan, Vasco Shillong Lajong at JLN Shillong Neroca FC at Khuman Lampak Imphal Gokulam at EMS Stadium at Calicut
I am not sure about Calcutta clubs. Minerva Punjab at Panchkula ?? Chennai City FC also I dont know. Arrows can be anywhere - Pune, Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad.
