It is a very busy Event venue also. Almost every week there is some function - either some film award or saregama type concert, Saas Bahu award or Dandiya. Forget about longterm lease by WIFA. It is a venue which is money spinner for BMC by organising events. Maybe ISL can do some promotion, some film star, charity type matches. Do not expect any serious Football or International Football. Always there is some stage ste there with dancers and DJ practicing. That will not stop-so serious Football is out of question.

It is BMC owned so renting will be cheaper compared to DY Patil.
Most of Mumbai's football loving population resides in western region where is ASC is.
WIFA organises its MDFA matches at different locales too like St Xaviers ground Parel , Air India ground Kalina, RCF ground Chembur etc.
They will happily organise games at this stadia with a well maintained turf.
Besides it is a Sports complex which has other facilities like swimming pool, gym etc which can be used for recovery sessions, gym training etc.
Cooperage 4500 capacity ASC 20000-25000 capacity More crowd , more revenue.
Regarding semi elliptical shape, Salt Lake stadium is completely elliptical. DY Patil is cricket ground and completely circular.
Besides you should see the recent pic on google maps, the crowd is gonna be close to the action, not very close like cooperage or duler, but close enough. Also they have done tremendous work on the turf which is visible. Check it out, you will be pleasantly surprised.
But @Munna219777, wasn't the ending of ISL2 more like a Saas Bahu serial? The Bahu (FCG) fighting with Saas (IMG-R) with the Sasur (AIFF) waiting for his cup of tea and looking on helplessly?
I think Andheri Complex will best suit this drama, it probably has all the props in place.
