There is a difference between running a youth set-up and senior team. Constant chopping and churning of players, coaching staff has taken a heavy toll on senior team.
They dismantled almost the entire winning team of last year I-league. Okay this might be their business model but you need some stability-preserve the team core and playing style. This is not what champion teams would do. Then even when new foreign players like Edafe, Toure, Opoku and coach looked sort of settled, changing of players after ever defeat is not good.
Similar mistake was done by Aizawl FC after their victory and they are near relegation now. By comparison, preserving the squad has paid dividends to Churchill, Neroca this season.
Teams like Aizawl and Minerva can't hold their better performing players after a good season as teams with better resources with poach them. This happened after Aizawl FC's 2016/17 Season when they lost almost all their star players to Kolkata Giants. Similar thing happened to Minerva Punjab. If you want to hold onto your core team, do not win the League. Period.
