HAL started their U-19 I-League campaign with a bang by defeating Viva Kerala 3-1. Playing the qualifiers in Punjab, the rookies took the lead in 26th minute thru a Raj Kiran goal. It was Raj Kiran again, in the 54th minute who scored his second goal, and gave HAL a 2-0 lead.
Viva who lost their first match against JCT, reduced the margin in the 77th minute. Mohan K pumped the 3rd goal in the stoppage time and gave team a 3-1 victory.
HAL plays against host JCT in a decider match tomorrow, Sunday May 1. The winner will qualify for the final round.
