So we are playing two teams from Pot 3 & one team from Pot 2 in the Hero Cup next month.. Now we just need two friendlies before qualifiers. One team from Pot 1 & one from Pot 2.. Let's invite China
@munna219777 Why cant Sri Lanka play in other venue if there is security threat? or they havent given gurantee of security ? teams play in other venues right? or rules are different for WC qualifiers ?
I think once draw is out, all teams would be interested in getting opponents from other pots (except the ones they are drawn with) so ideally we should play 3 friendlies, 2 from pot 2 1 from pot 3(own pot)
I dont see point in playing against china, they dont pose same threat as japan/Iran and chances are high that we will lose game against pot 1 team no matter what (except may be UAE and China) instead test squad in home conditions away games will be tough , we should try and win all or most games at home take one venue and test everything there , Bengaluru /Mumbai would be good

Whatever it is, hope we get a strong pot 1 team in our group. So that they can clean sweep the rest of the teams. Would suck to have a mediocre pot 1 team who draws with a pot 4 team
