@Chelseafan ; the way I understand slot allocation (for AFC is 4.5+1 host) entire process is like last world cup only but if Qatar qualifies from second stage among those 4 teams then one more team gets chance
Nothing changes in qualification process with Qatar in the group. Top team will make it to final round and 2nd placed team if amongst the best 4 will then make it.
Also since this like Asia Cup qualifier. Qatar will just play for it.
As the first two stages (First Round already completed and Second Round) also serve as qualification for AFC asian Cup 2023, Qatar is obliged to participate in this Round. After reaching Round 3, Qatar might give away and then the Best second Runner Up might get the slot of Qatar. This needs to be ratified by FIFA.
Also these Qualifiers are for both World Cup & Asian cup... Qatar will not have exception.. If they wanted to play in Asian cup, they should play qualifiers..
Are we good enough to beat Oman ? Afghanistan can never be underestimated as well against an inconsistent Indian team.... Not sure if we can draw a game against Qatar , even if we play the game with 11 defenders
Group H South Korea vs North Korea will be interesting.
Group G will be a group of Death. UAE is safe but enormous tensions will be observed for Malaysia vs Indonesia
Group F Myanmar might face hostility in Tajikistan,Kyrgyzstan. Last time their games were cancelled.
Group D Many neutral venues might be introduced, Saudi, Palestine, Yemen do not travel to each other.
Group C Iran vs Iraq,is always a treat to watch.
Group A ha ha Lets see how Guam gear up to play Syria or how Syria manage to reach Guam !! Even mighty China and tiny Maldives in the mix. Travel nightmare.
