Maaaaaaaaaaaaan, if this guy can pass as mentioned in the article, other clubs have a job on their hands. Salgaocar plays the pressing brand of football where three players surround the opponent player who has the ball, it's very irritating for the opponent who don't get any space to play. Once they retain the ball, they pass it around or lay it for Francis to run through the wings. If this French guy can control the speed of his passes which only a handful few in Indian club scene can do, then it's double trouble for opponents, they already have Ryuji Sueoka who is very accurate with his passing, now this French guy. They have weakness in their stopper back positions and if you can mark Chiddi and Sueka well, no one to strike. I know Karim is very strict with quality of foreigners, he always said that he will rather take an Indian player if he was equivalent standard to that of a foreigner.
looks like salgaonkar is taking afc cup seriously now given the title chances being bit less with dempo being in much good position to regain the title ...i just wish salgaonkar makes a minimum of quarter final of the tournament
Or the other way round would be to increase the quality of our HOMEGROWN players, that in itself would deter any low quality foreigner lacking in commitment, in some cases with hidden chronic injuries like Alan Gow to show up to play here.
Are you guys sure this guy is as good? I mean are u guys impressed just because he is french? true he is just 25, but he has played in only S-League as far as i know

well only time will tell...lots of high profile foreigners have failed in India, but again Karim has been fantastic in choosing foreigners...but the player will take his time to adjust and Salgaocar dont have much time. 6 games in I League and few in AFC. Even Sueoka took time to establish himself.
When will we see Odafa in AFC cup <!-- s:confusion-waiting: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/confusion/waiting.gif" alt=":confusion-waiting:" title="Waiting" /><!-- s:confusion-waiting: --> , he is probably the best player and Indian club can use in AFC
no but what I meant is that is he good to start with as in does he come with a reputation? Like we had a certain Scooter (he was funny!) with the reputation of being a fresh World Cupper and failed miserably in Kolkata.
Very little is known about this player. But a good thing is that he is only 25.
This is a compilation video of Maxime Belouet.Looks good. But then again looks can be deceiving!
In 2010-2011 season he's played in the French 3rd division just below Ligue 2.Moreover he's quite habituated to the humid conditions here, having played in Singapore..

With the quality of foreigners in the I-League improving the days of average Nigerian players like Junior, Henry Ezeh . Hamza etc are numbered.
There should be a quality control , with players who havent played club level abroad denied visas for I-League
