So where is all this talk about stadiums and academies coming from?! It sounds like both clubs are on the brink of collapse.
@silicon. Dempo has two steel factories. Now along with mining, the Goa port has also been shut down due to pollution in Vasco city. So he cannot import coal for the industries neither can he do any business from the Goa port. So the losses are building up day by day. How long can people continue with charity in the name of passion for Football.
As for Churchill he has fisheries biz which will not be able to sustain the team for long, unless he is back in politics.

Not only Dempo and CB, Salgcr is also on the brink of doom. And Sporting has always been on the brink, somehow they pull thru.
Do you have any sources because I speak for all the non-Goan users here when we say that this is 100% different than what we usually hear. We always hear about how the Goan clubs are doing well... starting stadiums, academies, sponsorships. Everything was said to make it all look good. What the hell happened.
Well, you have to read the Goa newspaper of the last three months. And this is a huge issue in Goa. There are thousands unemployed due to the Supreme court order. Goa as a state is facing doom. The academy may come. But just forget the stadiums. The stadiums will not come even after 100 years.

When a league club from lowly ranked team sign a player who had experience in world's most famous league.... you should have the idea that this guy is going to bring with him some attitude and mainly some expectation of star-like treatment all over the country
When he fails to gain that he is gonna show more attitude which he is doing now.... had the club marketed him well both club and player would have been happy with the attraction...
and with all these club shutting issues of top clubs likely.... i am happy with the way my fav club mumbai fc is run
at least they are staying in the league with lesser loss

I know it wont affect them. But why will they spend so much. Take for eg. They used to earn 100 Rs and spend 20 Rs for the the club. Now with their earnings being slashed to Rs50, they are not going to spend the same Rs20 as earlier. Remember they are a business and not non profit org.
i dont think these clubs will close shop, they may sell the ownership rights to somebody else.... not all clubs are like fransa, jct or mah utd..... there must be many investors willing to invest... like the recent interest from SRK and dhoni
