Pre-Season is lame excuse. It is same for Ahal (Turkmenistan) & Lee Man(Hong Kong). None of their leagues started. Ahal played last league game in last year.
We have to admit ATK MB had poor team selection and game plan. After long break, maybe it is difficult to score goals or to play free flowing football. But this team could not able to park the bus or even make 1 successful long range pass to forwards.
ATK never plays free flowing football, its not Habas's style. Just need to admit, Habas is not their man to make a mark in Asia even in AFC Cup. He is simply out of his league there. Even in a 30 match ISL, he will only be good for teams trying to save relegation and not win championships. The man simply has no vision, a poor coach if ATK wants to see the bigger picture for next year.
Mohun Bagan was a complete joke, Lee man showed what they can do, if not for ISL flop Kuldarovic strike in Extra time, Lee man could have defeated Nasaf in penalties.
Though it is not one-sided game, Al Muharraq defended very well and scored some excellent goals against Nasaf.
Seems like Al Muharraq is top notch team. They have defeated Jordan club, Al-Salt , Al-Ahed (Defending champions as 2020 cup is suspended), Al-Kuwait (team with top foreigners and 3 time winners) .
