What a result for Gokulam. After Mumbai's brilliant performance, Gokulam can do India MA ranking a favor by going deep in the competition. I don't know what it is about ATK MB, but I just don't trust them in AFC matches, even though they have multiple star players. Like even though Mumbai didn't do well in ISL, I had a feeling they would do well in CL. Same can't be said for ATKMB
For Gokulam to show that at the end of the day, football is simply that - a ball, 22 players, grass and two goals - amidst all of money that seems to talk ever so louder in the off-season, is refreshing.
I caught up with RKFC games only in the later half of the season and can 100% agree with him that this team is better than half the ISL teams performance this season.
While I tend to agree that ileague players should also cement their place in national team and have always vouched for it, just 1 win is not always reflection of truth. But mouth watering duels awaiting in preseason openers like durand cup. Also remember 1 thing Atkmb could very well have scored in a couple of goals in opening 15 min and things would have been different. But kudos to Gkfc for attacking brand they played in second half. I thin for atkmb more than game sense they lost in their mind playing this isl bs ileague game.
