You don't try out your reserve goalie during a WCQ match, that too a home game which we had a realistic chance of winning with proper squad selection! Qatar has lost 60% of their games played this year and were not 8n a great form coming here, Afghanistan result not withstanding. We could have beaten them had Stimac 8ncluded Akash mishra, GSS, Mahesh from start itself. Sahal could have come in 2nd half as Thapa is equally good. But that moron made a complete mockery of this game! And then Stimac says afterwards that he is experimenting for the Asian Cup. And then goes on to say that Asian Cup is NOT a priority but WCQs are important! I mean that idiot should make up his mind what the fuck he wants to say! I am so so pissed at home right now. We have improved under him, no doubt about it, but he is again making excuses for potential losses in Asian Cup games. Thats his problem. Now that his contract is extended by 2 years, his earlier antics of giving excuses for poor results have started again! Any other coach would have been sacked by now for such a brazen irresponsible act during such an important game and for declaring a tournament like Asian Cup as low priority! He should be sacked right now for this, for sabotaging our chances 8n the WCQ qualification. Appoint someone who is not already defeated, someone who is positive about fighting hard and giving our best.
I have watched entire game. Qatar would have won 5-0 as they are dominant & combined with our silly mistakes. But since, we have created good no. of chances, 1 goal by us in first half, our players would have pumped-up & game would have been 3-3 or 2-2 in our favor as well.
Football is like that; we have to take our chances and shouldn't rely on 3-4 players for goals. Sixer by Apuia, 1 clear chance missed by Thapa & Sahal. To be frank, Sahal miss is a horror as he has time to move & shoot.
CAFA nations like Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan & Turkmenistan don't rely on few players & would have taken these chances. Even Saudi Arabia had just 7 chances against Jordan like us, but won the game by 2 goals. Where-as, Jordan is dominant & had 17 shots, but not even scored a goal. Thats how top teams like Saudi, Australia, S.Korea, Iran & Japan will convert their chances to goals despite having bad day.

yes. since we get to play afg back to back fixtures, if we get positive results, then kuwait will get under pressure. As Indians we must also hope Qatar doesn't falter agaisnt Kuwait.
I am happy Qatar plays Kuwait twice in next 2 games. Reason they won't take them lightly and would most possibly make sure they get 6 points and qualify with matches in hand. This gives India an advantage which we need to take by winning next 2 games. That would mean enormous pressure on Kuwait in their last 2 games.
Let's talk about Asian Cup for now. Since Ashique looks like a long term injury so won't be there for Asian Cup. Similarly Anwar also looking dicey since his cast will be removed only on 9th Dec. Problem with Sana is his form. But he should still be able to perform better than Mehtab singh.
