To be frank, Japan, South Korea & Australia are improved heaps & bounds in last few years when compared to other AFC nations. Only Iran can stop them. We will get to see that in this Asian Cup. Off late, even Saudi & Qatar are not in great touch. But Qatar (Home team) & Saudi will have exceptional fans support in Asian cup.
We are fortunate enough that we got Qatar instead of Japan, South Korea & Australia in WCQ.
Qatar is no more close to their 2019 Winning team even though most of them still plays in their NT. Recently they drew with Iraq team and yesterday they lose to Iran 4-0

I watched the highlights and the way Tajik defended they put experienced Indian players like Jhingan to shame.

The Head Coach of Tajikistan is Petar Segrt, former coach of the Maldives national team. He was the one who orchestrated our 2018 SAFF Championship win and gave debuts to a number of players who really looked like they were about to do something special in the following years. The average age of that squad was just over 23 years.
Unfortunately by doing that, he alienated some of the older players who held too much influence over the national team and got sacked as a result. Which was a shame, because he was willing to stay on for 10+ years and do something special. He was deemed not good enough for Maldives, but was snapped up by Tajikistan and he has gone on to help them qualify for the Asian Cup for the first time in their history, while we have been blindly groping around in the dark since.

this is very sad and angry to read. This kind of situations anywhere in football ruins the team.
