Maybe we should just accept the fact that we are one of the worst teams in world football.  I think it'll make the journey easier.

Same shit players keep on getting selected and playing. It's clear and out thatvsome players only belong at domestic club level. I expected Manolo to bring in young guns, but when I see players on the field it's the same. Looks like this will continue. Other countries are adventurous enough ti give some of their u17, u20 players chances in these type of games, but we never do that. Hope Manolo checks the other players on the bench today

Don't think that would have saved our face. We do not have any players playing in the creative and attacking front. Kiyan I was happy at first when he moved then CFC but they soon signed Jordan, Chima and have Connor as third option as well.
I think we should just find another player to groom at this point. Look at Manvir even a player who is actively playing now is struggling because he no longer feels like a striker.

Honestly no SAFF region clubs itself will sign our strikers. I highly doubt Maldives, Bangladeshi clubs being interested in Indian players. I hope they leave to countries like Hong Kong, Nepal or somewhere and just play some games every year. ISL clubs also have to take some responsibility for the player well being. For ex: if a player like Kiyan requests to leave they should. I don't see him getting any minutes this season.

In Durand cup , Kiyan was actually not playing as no9 rather on the wings. In Isl if you can't put a player anywhere put him in the wings. And even then we have shit wingers.

I saw him in the second half being frustrated. He asked the team to keep shape and move forward. He was shouting that to Yasir's face only for him to do a backpass. He sort of got some momentum by introducing Subhasish into the fray. They were just happy to keep the ball and lose it occasionally and hope Mauritius don't score. Pathetic performance. Nandha seems to have lost a lot of his pace. Not sure what is going on.

Was there in the stadium today. Really liked the atmosphere(18k attendance) and facilities were improved a lot compared to last time during HFC matches. Pitch is bad because of flood like rains in Telangana so we can ignore this

Coming to game, we really struggle with basic skills. I don't think changing coaches is going to do anything significant. There were lot of new fans who came to stadium and I could see the disappointment in their faces after seeing poor quality football. Every time we came close to attacking position we lacked basic ball control, decision making and reactions expected from a average footballer at world level

I was waiting to meet the players after match but seems like Manolo was giving them belt treatment and dint let them come out soon. Next match is going to be tough against much superior opponents Syria. Also future wise I don't think Manolo or anyone can help improve us. Players are seriously lacking skills to perform at this level. Something at system need bigger and quicker changes

so true. what we have seen is he has improved the levels of all the players. Like Liston, Sana, Yasir, Poojary all were unknowns and they all improved. Brandon looked like a new player under him. I expect players to play at their best under him. But that is all a coach can do. Still we are lacking by a far. As you said we do not even have the average footballer decision making and reactions. The crowd kept cheering as soon as we cross halfline only to be disappointed in the screw ups. Not great games for a lot of new fans to witness.

Manolo is right to give the bad treatment. I would have thrown my slippers if they came to do the viking clap if I were in the stadium. Even if did not get enough sessions, this performance is not acceptable simply put.

Absolutely. I feel these old players are just complacent, taking their position in India team granted(not sure if agent agenda has anything to do with it) and they can't improve further taking into consideration their age. So keep only a few of them and introduce young blood heavily, who, even if lack technically, will give their all for the national team. I don't care if we loose if we play fearless football. We are playing like rats coming out of hole very carefully, but still can't be like Jerry. Tell me what was 2 CDM doing in a match against an opponent ranked 179?
