NorthEast United FC forward Alaeddine Ajaraie equalled the Indian Super League record for the most consecutive games scored after finding the opener against Jamshedpur FC on Saturday.
He equalled the record of six held by Brazilian Elano which he achieved while playing for Chennaiyin FC in the inaugural season of the ISL. In 2014, Elano scored eight goals in Chennaiyin’s first six games.
He is extremely committed, which is very rare now in ISL foreigners.
These are the sort of players ISL clubs should be looking to recruit
Not sure if everyone following this ISL season or not.. Difference b/w Indian & Foreign players is clearly visible in this season. On top of it, our goalkeepers are very poor this season, making atleast 1 costly error in every game.
I would put Edgar Mendez (BFC) in same bracket as Alaeddine Ajaraie. Though Rahul addition improved BFC stability in defense, but Edgar is heart & soul of BFC team. I want to mention few other players including 1 striker from HFC, 1 player from Kerala & Punjab) but it would be pre-mature for me to comment now , will mention their names after couple of ISL games.
Absolutely I agree. See Mohan bagan, when they relied too much on Indian players, they faltered. But Momina understood that very well and started playing foreigners in major positions. I am confused actually, have our players improved than earlier batches or improved, these new players actually have much better education as well as used better infra- so whats the outcome?

I have to say I am impressed by Mandar and his team to pick a good coach and allow the coach to pick his squad. Naushad Moosa and all the support staff is getting the best out of every player. A player like Bemmamer might perform horrible under a bad team in ISL. This team is very tightly knit. Tomi Juric when he joined after a long lay off started to pick up. Also loved the way he left. Benali and the fans said the doors are open for someone like Tomi. Benali is a great leader and it clearly shows.
Mandar and his team were mocked by several people in this forum. I think he has made the club a lot more sensible. Now their academy plans are bigger as well. The fans are coming back to the stadium after years of frustration. Last they had this many fans come was when Bart was there.

Hyderabad has done excellent job of International break. With more games and players joining they no longer will be points donors
