Jamshedpur FC has just toppled the seemingly invincible Mumbai City FC in an unforgettable, earth-shaking triumph! Tactical brilliance, unshakable belief, and pure heart. Witness greatness, ladies and gentlemen!
MSC came close to picking up their first win in ISL before Armando Sadiku, who can't seem to stop scoring in FCG colours, came to the rescue with a late strike in stoppage time to salvage a point for the Gaurs
not sure why people just started praising Khalid Jamil... not referring @beautifulgame comment.. but other people in media..
we have known him since his Mahindra united days... He might be technically not great but a lion-hearted person and will do anything for his team.
Though it is premature to stay, but the moment Jamshedpur signed him, I know they will trouble big teams.. We saw how he guided Mumbai in his initial coaching career, he is succeeded in almost with all his clubs along winning I-League.. but Indian clubs not offering him long term deal since he is Indian..
Who would need beautiful football without winning matches, If stimac would have appointed Khalid Jamil as a dead-ball specialist / assistant coach in Asian cup, we would have scored atleast a goal & could have avoided couple of errors..
Seems like Khalid is very clever.. As I pointed-out in earlier comment, their problem in midfield (understanding b/w Japanese player & Sourav Das), I thought these small things coach will ignore since they won the game.. But he sorted-out that against Mumbai City & they haven't started together.. b/w I'm not friend of Khalid
To be fair to Mumbai City, if it is not Jamshedpur today, they would have scored atleast 4 goals in this game.
It seems that over-reacting is the name of the game nowadays, and not only in football!
In cricket, the way players celebrate when they pick up a wicket or hit a boundary/over-boundary seems way over the top. Even cricket commentators these days react so hysterically at the drop of a hat that a viewer hardly gets the feel of the game.
In ISL, Pulasta Dhar's commentary has started to irk me...if some of the earlier commentators like the legendary Novy Kapadia were sometimes guilty of mouthing statistics too often, Dhar's commentary seems to be a random melange of hyperboles, literary references and quotations. It makes even me, a teacher of English, cringe...the technicalities of the game are lost in the process!
Nobody closing down the player, same happened in Javi's goal. What were midfielders doing ?? So much space its easy shoot and score. This is why ISL is poor
Comments
Terrific result for PFC, without their main striker Luka Majcen
Also both the goalscorers were Indian, Nihal Sudheesh and Leon Augustine
Two wins in two matches for Punjab FC!
Odisha FC defence is in terrible shape, Mourtada Fall has had "a great fall"!
KHALID JAMIL, TAKE A BOW!
