I was head of coach education in Azerbaijan but it is not my field here. But we all know what to do. It is a huge country. Everybody interested in football and having a license should come and watch these games. "
-- So true . doesn't look like any Indian coach is interested in watching the progress these kids are making. I hope a few coaches do visit the games atleast.
"“The worst was against North East, when they brought an overage team. They played well but that’s not why we played them. We were looking for players for the World Cup. I know I step on the toes of many people but I really do not care about the teams who send overage players for an exhibition match when we’re trying to find talent for the World Cup side. They are out of their mind or maybe they’re trying to sabotage us. This is not okay,” he opined"
IMG will be able to manage FIFA who also would like to make indian team the laughing stock...bound to happen when we play in WC with our domestic structure
2000 born might be just fine as they would still be U-17 in 2017..2009 but born in later months like December, November might also have a chance just before the World Cup. So I do not see why they would be overage..
But its hurting to see that for their petty politics by Goan association, we might have lost on some Goan players who might have got a chance to be selected. Shame on everyone who were part of this nonsensical politics.

He has a few 20+ year olds in his squad...so he really shouldn't be talking about this issue.
He wants to avoid heavy defeats & knows other countries will also cheat at U17 world cup...so he is just protecting his back

2009 born kids.... ????
Aniket Jadhav was overage in this PFC squad , as were over 60% of them...anyone from Pune football knows this:
http://punefc.com/mupc-2013-pune-fc-placed-in-group-a/
even if you suspend belief that he was 14 in 2013, that makes him 17 now , so 18 by the time 2017 swings by
Hendry Antonay is closer to 20.
---- the age cheating is a disease at AIFF , especially amongst its coaches, and is not going away anytime soon.
I'm not blaming Nicolai, but he certainly shouldn't be criticising others when his squad is rife with examples.
