I am assuming that all 5 of these kids will have to be assessed by Nicolai Adam as it is Yadav who has scouted them. Am I right in thinking that scouting for players will continue and they will be slowly included in friendlies, and the most impressive chosen to be part of the AFC championship. Beyond that, I see little reason to scout, and it would be better to just keep the final squad of 25-27 players together and train them, and have them play quality opposition in friendlies.
A quick look at the players who have been involved since the German tour last year tells me that the following are almost certain to be in the final squad for AFC and the World Cup:
That's about 16 players, and I guess they want to find better squad players who can push these 16 players and the other squad players such as Prabhushkan, Tamal, Hendry, Narender, Joseph, Saurabh, Joysana and Akoijam, who all have had very little game time.
Bigger the pool the better it will be in terms of competition for places and in case of any unavoidable circumstances (injury). Also, it will give more chance to have top class players that can develop into senior Indian international at latter date.
Abhishek Yadav:"We are also committed to scout for other age group teams. We will now look at other countries like Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia for more such talent. I am getting a lot of enquiries from these countries. I am certain many good footballers with Indian passport are there in these countries and I will make all efforts to provide them the opportunity they deserve. It's a national project and I am hopeful that it will only strengthen the national team."

Article says Abhishek Yadav scouted out an extremely Indian talented kid from Dubai.
5 out of 250 is little tough... 5 --> 18 ---> 250..
But article says 3 to 4 will be heading to Germany.. What about other 2 or 1.. will they join AIFF Academy..
