Guys, heard earlier on the NTs official page that they will start an online medium to scout for talent.. Any idea about its progress?
KSFA here is bullsh** so no trials, no sub junior state team, no academy....
so that will be our only portal here in Bengaluru

Love the typical pessimism on here. Can we at least see what will happen first? Supposedly we are about to continue the U15 league and start a U13 league next season. I know we all automatically think the worst, I do to, but lets wait and see what comes of it first. Same with the ISL.

Actually AIFF has informed my academy that from next year it wil be U-16 in build - up to the 2017 u17 WC and to scout for talent....Looks like it'll be a short-term thing!!

Whats your idea of a professionally organized league? :D

@arsenalfan700 In AIFF we (don't) trust. You can't really blame us for that.

Under 17 World Cup is best chance for India to prove strength of grassroots football-Abdelmajeed Alnemer ( Pic - SESA FA Ground )

The United Arab Emirates are one of the teams taking part in the premier youth tournament to be played in Goa and their Head Coach Abdelmajeed Alnemer is visiting India to scout accommodation and training facilities.

Reflecting on his side’s preparation ahead of the event Alnemer said that the players were working hard and that the team was progressing well. The UAE find themselves in a tough Group A along with the hosts, and regional powerhouses Iran and Saudi Arabia. Alnemer knows the competition will be tough and believes Japan are favourites to lift the crown. “Our target is to qualify for the Under-17 FIFA World Cup,” he noted.

Japan is favorite to qualify for world cup... only last time they missed as they faced strong South Korean team...
but in U-17, there are NO clear cut favorites for champions...  Japan, N.Korea, S.Korea and Uzbekistan have equal chances... and we cannot rule out Australia,Iran & Thailand... also most of the times.. we see surprises from middle east nations... on their day... teams like Iraq,Syria,Qatar are clear cut favorites... basically I mean there are no pushovers in Junior level... any team can pop-up on a give day and can upset top 4 junior nations ( Koreans, Uzbek & Japan)

as I said.. we never know in youth level...

but as Saudis are in our group... I don't want them in surprise package.. we already have Iran team....with 2 surprise teams.. it will be difficult for us to move to next team..

also Saudi is not good in U-16 level... not sure about the reason... but they are not good in U 16 level... that applies to UAE as well... we are fortunate to have easy group... Hope Indian team will qualify for knock out rounds..
