We all know that ours is a randomly assembled team and they are going to face well-trained players from established systems. In this context, when we draw with a Chile or defeat a team from Europe, we have to either believe that we have progressed fantastically within a few months or there are some problems in our oppositions (like not being the true Italy team). Or may be age frauds in our team, which is very common.
I don't think one Adam or Matos can really pull us up by that much. So these wins and draws need to be examined further, in order to find out the whitewashes by our Fed.
Sorry I can't agree with you. I am not a lizards who will change color after every odd results. Neither we progress a bit nor we will progress if this kind of mindset exists. You can't blame AIFF each and every time. It is not parent body's responsibility to develop players, it is the responsibility of the clubs to produce players. Unfortunately no clubs interested in this, except lajong. If You take each top football country be it Germany , Spain or even Brazil and analyze their success, you will find the club contribution everywhere. It is our club system which failed over the years. It is the clubs responsibility to increase their fan base. Make their clubs a brand for their fans, do some business. Every time blaming AIFF doesn't make any sense. If this kind of system going on in coming years Nobody can help us to qualify for the World cup.
I pretty much made an essay after the Granatkin Cup about how it should be the clubs and not fully on the federation and how we are fucked as a nation unless a lot changes.
Why should the clubs be interested in youth development if the federation has never supported them in any of their endeavours. The clubs were being run just as a charity all these years and nothing else. I league winners prize money of 50 lakhs!!! Does it make any sense?? Now with so much support from the federation to ISL, let us see how many players the ISL teams develop. Hoping that India wins the 2025 U-17 WC with the efforts of the ISL clubs.
Same old shit again , do you think that youth development is rewarded with heavy price moneys all around the world ? Whether it's ISL or I League , it's the responsibility of the clubs to develop young players who would go on to represent the NT.
Their is no proper system for youth development both by clubs and AIFF AIFF hardly had youth leagues few years ago
And clubs were shit they recruit players give them hope about U-19 league and just before league starts they bring random age frauds from NE via agents
Or take huge amount as fee for coaching and playing in U-19 league This is very common with all clubs from 2nd div who participate in league
Tournaments like Subroto Cup are hub or orgin of age frauds I have had chat with someone a couple of years ago he admitted he played U-16 at age of 19 in Subroto Cup Funny part is he was 28 and a player who a current was senior to him at youth level was 24
Other day I showed Negi profile of Minerva U-19 player who was 22-23 according to fb but won currently some league with them
When you fill youth system with corruption and cheating you can't expect us to produce quality players
People want results not development at youth level
why is its there responsibility when they don't even get a penny from broadcast deal or central sponsorship also prize moneys from past 3 years are not paid even they can't pay MOM awards.
To be fair, most I-League club's youth academies were formed within a week or, if lucky, a month before a league/tournament. You also had a lot of age cheating and players from outside the state. They knew all of this and nothing was ever done.
And yes, the AIFF never helped, but there is also something called investing for the longterm, in which you are hit with a loss for now but hope for something better in the future. I-League clubs never really did that, Bengaluru FC are and they showed the way.

Everyone is equally responsible

Yes they do But they have a better senior system to back it up
Really shame that Iraq has 20 top div, Syria has 16 and we have 10
We don't provide a platform to these players to come up and take football professionally
Many players quit sports and take up government jobs after representating state/national youth teams
