JLN Fatorda Stadium Recently Gone Through Renovation !
The state government of Goa provided all the necessary details demanded by the Indian FA…
In one of the first positive steps in 2014, the Government of Goa have presented the required guarantees needed by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) with regards to hosting the U-17 World Cup in 2017.
Goa is one of the venues alongside Mumbai, Bengaluru, Guwahati, Delhi, Kerala, Chennai and Kolkata.
State Sports Minister Ramesh Tawadkar and Sports and Youth Affairs Secretary Keshav Chandra informed that the “guarantees of various agreements have been submitted to FIFA and AIFF.”
The guarantees include confirmation of ticket and entertainment tax, indemnification, undertaking of safety measures deployed, media rights and more.
Mumbai and Bangalore will not be selected as venue for U-17 World Cup. If main stadium has artificial turf, then FIFA is asking for a secondary ground for Practice pitch also on artificial turf. I hope Calcutta makes it with Salt Lake Stadium and Barasat Stadium. Pune, Delhi, Goa and Cochin are almost confirmed venues.
