BFC isn't a benchmark, what they have done has been done for decades by EB and MB, basically winning trophies. Procedures, science, progress is all fine but they should deliver success. Man U wont be a global name if they went through the 2000s winning crap. No one wont give so much shit about BFC if they went trophyless so far since their inception.
Basically, losing to Bangladesh isn't on. Either this lot is useless or whoever is coaching/mentoring them are. They are young and should be made to realize that winning counts in football, that's that! I can't believe that our boys gave their best and lost to Bangladesh, something was very wrong somewhere.
Don't be daft, please. BFC were popular before they even won the trophy and even had a spell of doing iffy at the beginning of the campaign.
Don't put unnecessary pressure on these kids. Obviously don't make it a cakewalk for them in which nothing will happen if they don't do well. They need discipline after all at the end of the day. They lost to Bangladesh, okay, bad result... but why? What happened? Lets see if they can fix it now.
At the end of the day, these are our kids we are relying on for the U17 World Cup and what not but how many of these guys will actually be professional at the end? Not all of them, thats for sure.
What you wrote in the second paragraph is what I am saying. There just can't be no reaction after a loss go Bangladesh, honest introspection and analysis needs to be done. Faults need to be found and fixed, else where is the scientific approach?
See, now I agree with what your saying. Ya. Don't reward these guys for losing, they're getting the training, boarding, tournaments for probably low expense for them... bloody get some results, but then again, they're what 14-15. They can afford some weird results but they must learn from them.
BFC could retain its support base because they won the silverware. That's where Pune FC failed, they did all the right stuff in initial years but no trophy to show for it. BFC can't afford a trophy less spell of 5 years like Bagan had, they would be shut or paid their way to ISL.
These kids should know..loosing to a SAAF country is like failing your high school board exams. You are donning the national jersey, you can't take it for granted.
Probably not the right thread for this but I believe Bengaluru FC could have retained at least a 5,000 average attendance even without the I-League and Federation Cup. Winning helps, thus why they had moments like 11,000 for the first match and 20,000 for the last but that was never the average and weeknights on a Wednesday saw 7,000 in pouring rain sometimes.
the thing is until all clubs join to have proper academies mere 1-2 aiff academies not going to do any good. all should join hands to nurture young talent and at a small age.
News coming from Germany that Indian colts won 3-2 against SPVGG Greuther Fuerth U16, a club playing in second division Bundesliga. The lads came from 2 goals down to clinch the victory. Good performance should i say.
