If mumbai fc, shillong lajong and usfc work on their squad then no chance for air india and ongc or else you could see one on the above three could be in the position which CUK is presently in..(remember slfc is also struggling in recent matches along with mumbai fc and usfc is playing so inconsistently)

ND Opara scored 8 goals during ONGC stay which is exactly same as this year.ND Opara had his best season with AI when he scored 13 goals. So your logic of ONGC don't bring the best out of players does not hold good.<br>

<br><div><br></div><div>Opara has 11 right now and most of them were off the bench. That is why I am saying his best is coming out at Churchill because the guys scores 8 while starting every week for ONGC but scores 11 coming off the bench for Churchill.</div>

How about answering the question about why new & exciting (and not inexperienced in div-2) teams from NE can't best office teams ? :)

Such a regionalistic statement. And from you Somnath... I am surprised. I thought I left goal.com where the comments of "Ya take the title away from Goa and bring it to Kolkata" or "FUCK KOLKATA, BRING IT TO GOA" were gone. I was mistaken. They are still here, just different wording.

As for your question let me ask you one first which I kind of did in my first post...

Why is there a need for a 2nd Division? How does it help clubs financially? How has it helped Indian football sense 1996? Does AIFF understand the economics of promotion/relegation? Is it because expansion is used in America and that America is "supposedly" a "non-soccer" country that people still think that Europe uses pro/rel, why not India?

    <br><div><br></div><div>How is that a regionistic comment???</div>

Some of HAL players might join Mumbai FC.. good for them
  • Unless goal.com is wrong with the line-ups, most of the time Opara is a sub.<div><br></div><div>As for the regionalistic comment, I decided to be immature and start the conversation like that. :p</div>

goal.com is often wrong, and list players that haven't played the game as starters !!<div>Add all the goals up of the players on the goal.com site of any team and it sometimes exceeds the goals scored total of the team !!</div><div>1 possible reason, some of the "football journalists" in India also have a 3rd job as a scout/agent for players, </div><div>They watch more games than the coaches/owners of clubs , so they are actually often better informed !</div><div><br></div><div>As for Opara, anyone should score 10 goals at Churchill, when you have Steven Dias & Dika delivering the ball from the flanks !</div>

<br><div><br></div><div>Good point. Okay I admit then that Opara was not a good example but I dont see what the difference between Air India and ONGC is. The only plus Air India has is that they have tons of youngsters. What youngsters do ONGC have? \</div><div><br></div><div>Also going back to Air India, what positives can you give them? They dont pay there players, they dont pay the coaches, they got Mumbai FC to pay for the rent at Pune, they obviously dont care about marketing the game, and mainly because of them India failed the AFC Criteria.</div>
