Yea we need our own rules and regulations which should be strictly followed by the clubs to be allowed in the league despite their status in league in past seasons....and should be implemented in next 1-2 seasons so that we could set our target on 2022 or 2026 WC qualification or will only be remained as a dream

Agree. I will make a thread on that.

Didnt the AIFF say that only 5 teams can be from one city for both I-League and I-League 2nd Division combined? So if they actually keep to that rule only 1 team from Kolkata and Goa will be in the 2nd Division.
As for confirmation... none. The teams for the 2012 one were not announced till the very end of December/beginning of January..
2nd Division ideally should be played on home and away basis. Atleast the last group when 6 teams play for top 2 places, it will be better if they are played on home and away basis. For last two times, unfair advantage has been given to some clubs as whole tournament was staged in their home ground.
2nd division teams are those who can bring crowd-like kerala, mohd. sporting, meghalaya, mizoram teams. Home and away basis matches can bring some revenue.
